Everything about how the money is collected, held, voted on, and spent. These rules are published before launch.
All creator fees are sent to one public wallet: E59UeWfhoocuxyLEMRRqQ6KJupPZa6bFxge2mscTNzgt. Anyone can check it.
Fees are converted to USDC within 24 hours of each payout, so price swings do not change the totals. Milestones count the total fees received, after conversion.
Of every payout, 30% goes to a separate reserve wallet: AS9beM2JE8pqVMibLa2YgTRQ8k99Ba3G6A8hvggXSiRS. The reserve pays for taxes, swap and transaction costs, and legal or accounting costs for the project. The other 70% stays in the fee wallet as the quest budget.
Anything left in the reserve at the end of the year rolls into the next quest budget. It is never a hidden cut.
A quest unlocks each time total fees since launch reach the next milestone.
If a milestone is slow to arrive, the quest waits. Nothing is spent early. If a milestone has not been reached after 6 months, the team posts an update with the current total and the plan, and the money stays unspent in the wallets.
The dev wallet is 3YXCQyBKmgR5u8PbuHfCEDvGaFAgidqUdjbcMHMVBVww. It will buy about $1,000 of $SIDEQUEST at launch, and that will be public.
The dev will not sell more than 5% of it without announcing it first. Part of any sale is set aside for the tax on that sale. The dev wallet is not a promise of anything to holders.
Anyone can suggest a quest. When a milestone is hit, the team picks 3 to 5 finalists and posts each as a quest card with a name, a cost, and a short description.
Finalists must be legal and must fit inside the quest budget. Ideas that are defamatory, or that use someone's name, face, or brand without permission, will not make the ballot.
The team can remove any finalist that is illegal, and will say so publicly. Charity quests go to a registered nonprofit, and the receipt is posted.
Quest ideas, polls, and results all happen on X: @SideQuestFund. When a quest unlocks, the team posts a call for ideas and people reply with their suggestions.
The most-liked ideas are looked at first, and the team picks the finalists and posts them. The final choice is a poll on X. If there are more finalists than one poll allows, the team runs a first round to narrow them down. The option with the most votes wins, and the result is posted with a screenshot.
X polls count one vote per account and do not check token holdings, and likes can be inflated by fake accounts. They show what the community likes. They are not a guarantee of a perfectly fair count.
Voting is open to everyone, on X. Polls count one vote per account and do not check token holdings.
Holder-only voting, checked by wallet, may be added for later quests when more money is at stake. If that happens, the new rules and dates will be announced before it starts.
The final vote is a poll on X, as described above. The poll stays open for 3 days, and the option with the most votes wins.
If a poll gets fewer than 20 votes, it stays open for 3 more days. If it still has fewer than 20, the leading option wins and the result post says turnout was low. If the winning quest cannot be done, the team posts why and does the runner-up instead. If that is not possible either, a new poll is held with new finalists.
Results are posted on X with a screenshot of the final poll.
The quest budget is spent only on the winning quest. For now the quest budget sits in the fee wallet, which is controlled by the dev alone. A multisig with a co-signer will be set up before the quest budget reaches $1,000 and before any quest is paid out, and the setup will be announced.
Every finished quest is added to the quest log with photos, receipts, and on-chain transactions, plus a running tally of how much was spent.
$SIDEQUEST is a meme coin made for fun. It has no intrinsic value, holders do not own any share of the fees or the quest wallet, and nothing here promises a financial return or is financial advice. Rules may be updated, and every change will be announced. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
